Matric

First and foremost: Sorry that I haven't posted in what seems like forever (for me at least: in over A MONTH!!) I had exams at that time, then just haven't had poetic inspiration since then... So SORRY! Secondly: HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!! (I know I'm a smidgen late, but better late than never) May 2012 bring ONLY GOOD:D (hopefully) and everyone get ready for the major parties on The 22nd December 2012! (post-end_of_world-day) just in case we want to celebrate that day;) haha okay so I wrote this poem, well, as you can tell by the heading, because I'm entering my final year of schooling this year(matric aka grade 12/ standard 10/ year 12) and I feel like I'm in a pressure-cooker-pot-thing with all the expectations and I thought I'd reminisce over the last 12 years and it inspired me to write (YaY! for me:D I've been wanting to write something- anything soon) So I hope y'all like it!:D

Matric

12 years of pain;
12 years of strain.
But, 12 years of 'knowledge-gain'.

12 years of tears;
12 years of fears.
But, 12 years of finding true peers.

12 years of doubt;
12 years wanting to get out.
But, I'll miss what those 12 years were about.

12 years of 'moan';
12 years of 'groan'.
But, those 12 years have helped me grown.

12 years 'sigh';
12 years of wondering 'why?'
But, look how fast those 12 years went by.

12 years of 'Monday Blues';
12 years of school shoes.
But, those 12 years I'd hate to lose.

12 years have led me here;
To my final schooling year.
And I'll miss those 12 years oh, so dear
