So I just recently mailed my manuscript for my COMPLETED story (Alone In The Dark), on the 30th June, off for the Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature 2011 and I am waiting with a lot of angst for the announcement of the finalists, which will only be announced by the end of this year. In other news today Demi Lovato released her smashing single, Skyscraper, on iTunes and I simply love it, great sound and deep lyrics= EPIC, so check it out/ buy it- go crazy. Anyway I thought I'd write another on the spot poem just for yuh guys:) and I hope yuh dig it!
Lost In Transmission
Staring into the blackness of my mind;
Lying my fears aside where I can't find.
Trying to search for any sign of hope;
Till I can no longer cope.
Smiling at all that breaks me down;
Laughing at all my wasted frowns.
Facing everything I left behind;
All of the things I lost in time.
I lose myself in transmission;
Trying to complete this vision.
Of inner peace and contentment;
And break away from self-resentment.
I lost all connection now;
From who I've been and I vow.
To never be again;
Drowning in my own pain.
I will stand tall against my falls;
And be brave when I hit fail's walls.
